Rats-catch up post

So far in my story there have been more deaths due to the rats. More and more rats are beginning to poor into the city. Sarah and Michael decide to go to their aunt's house after they are a attacked by one of the rats in their own home. On their way to their aunt's house they encounter a swarm of rats. A friend, Marge, tries to help them by running over rats in a garbage truck, but that rats soon focus their rage on her. Sarah and Michael then make it to their aunt's house, but not after witness another person being devoured alive.

Rats-Character Post

The main character of Rats is Sarah Macafee. Since her mom died Sarah has taken charge of taking care of her little brother, so she is protective. When Sarah was little she had a phobia of rats, but she began to study them and over came her fear. Her knowledge of rats later comes in handy when she faces the killer rats in the story.

"Rats" has been an interesting book so far. The story takes place in a city near an enormous landfill. For some unexplained reason the many rats that live in the landfill are moving out into the city and attacking people at random. The detailed attacks are the highlight of the book.

Akeelah and the Bee part 2

Surprisingly Akeelah and the Bee was a very good movie. I enjoyed the movie very much because of the determination and humor it contains. Despite the fact that it was a good movie, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know. Expanding vocabulary helped Akeelah win the National Spelling Bee, and hopefully expanding my vocabulary will help me get a high score on the SAT.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-Setting

Although it is not mentioned in the book, one might guess that the story takes place in the late 1800's. based on their dialogue and dress The book starts out in streets and then moves to various places, such as people's houses. However, the entire book so far takes place in London. The story states, "...in a busy quarter of London." (page 5)

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-Character Post

Mr. Utterson is a static character mentioned in the first part of the story. He is tolerant of others, but is austere with himself. He has a rugged appearance and isn't very sentimental. At the current point of the story he hasn't shown any changes and has been talked about less in the book.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde starts out in London describing a character named Mr. Utterson thoroughly. The story then moves in to Mr. Utterson meeting an ominous man on the streets. Since I haven't gotten very far I don't understand the book. I have no idea what Mr. Utterson is supposed to be doing or who the man he ran into is supposed to be.
